Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi is offering a Bachelor of Hotel Management & Catering Technology (BHMCT) program for students interested in pursuing a career in the hospitality industry. The program has a duration of 4 years with a limited availability of 30 seats.

Eligible candidates must have passed Class 12 / Intermediate or equivalent qualifying examination with 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in Class 12 / Intermediate or equivalent qualifying examination with English as a subject. The application process is online with an application fee of Rs.1,500/- (General/OBC/EWS candidates) and Rs.1,000/- (SC/ST candidates) through ICICI payment Gateway.

Selection for the program will be based on marks obtained by the candidates in Class 12 / Intermediate / equivalent qualifying examination. The shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification cum admission based on their merit and data submitted by the candidates on their application forms.

The program has a reservation policy where 15% of seats are reserved for SC and 7.5% for ST, 5% for Persons with Disability, up to 1 seat for Kashmiri Migrant candidates, and 10% for candidates belonging to Economically Weaker Section (EWS). Additionally, 50% of the total seats are reserved for candidates who have passed their qualifying examination (Class 12) from Jharkhand State.

Fee: Annual fee of Rs.173,000 plus Rs.27,700 (admission & other fees).  Hostel fee not included.
